Hyaks Boys Varsity: North Beach 68, South Bend 49

The North Beach Hyaks bounced back from a season opening loss to Life Christian Academy by dominating the South Bend Indians 68-49 Friday night at North Beach.

Hyaks junior Reagan Harnagy had huge game, scoring 31 points including 9 3-pointers, and grabbing 8 rebounds. Chance Beck dished out 9 assists, while Patrick Heyd came off the bench to add 8 points.

“We played better defense tonight,” coach Larry Moore said, “and did a great job of sharing the ball. Ball movement and better defense were the keys to our win tonight.”

The Hyaks boys varsity team will travel to Willapa Valley Thursday, Dec. 6, and host Ocosta Saturday, Dec. 8, both games at 7 p.m. The Lady Hyaks varsity plays at South Bend at 7 p.m. tonight (Saturday). Their home opener is at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, against Willapa Valley.
