Woof-a-thon is Aug. 10

The annual Woof-a-thon event is set for Sunday Aug. 10, at North Beach Jr/Sr High School.

The uber dog-friendly event, in fact it’s all about the dogs, raises money for seven animal assisting charities in our community. Go to www.oceanshoreswoofathon.org for more details.

If you’ve attended Woof-a-thon in the past, you know about the Basket Raffle. Each basket is designed by a donor person or company around a theme. Values range often well over $100. Guests at the Woof-a-thon can purchase tickets at $1 each or $5 for 6 and after writing their name and phone on the back they can drop as many tickets as they wish on any basket. In the afternoon that day the winners names will be drawn for each basket.
