NCN911: SR 109 hit and run, Sheriff’s calls

The State Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run incident on State Route 109 that occurred at 12:41 p.m. Nov. 3.

A 31-year-old Burien woman was walking southbound on the shoulder of the highway at about milepost 16 when she was stuck by the side mirror of what is believed to be a gray SUV.

A State Patrol report provided no other details of the vehicle, which continued southbound after the mirror struck the woman.

She was taken to Grays Harbor Community Hospital and treated for undisclosed injuries. The incident is still under investigation.

Highway spur closure

Drivers who use the State Route 109 Spur in Hoquiam will need to take an alternate route during daytime hours on Wednesday, Nov. 9 while Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews remove trees and perform other maintenance work along the roadway in preparation for the winter storm season.

The SR 109 Spur will close between U.S. 101 and SR 109 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. No detour will be provided.

• Theft of motor battery on Elma St. in Copalis Beach at 1:33 p.m.

• Trespassing in the 100 block of Moody Rd. in Humptulips at 9:09 a.m.

• Malicious mischief on Copalis Lane in Copalis Beach/liquid sprayed on vehicle overnight, reported at 12:01 p.m.

Oct. 28

• Weapons offense/gunshots on private property coming from a blue Chevrolet Suburban, possible high-powered rifle in the 115 block of Damon Rd. in Ocean City at 8:43 a.m.

• Trespassing on Ocean Beach Rd. at Tulips Rd. at 11 a.m.

• Malicious mischief on Nancy Lane in Copalis Beach at 1:21 p.m.

Oct. 26

• Threatening behavior on Elma St. in Copalis Beach at 11:46 a.m.

• Trespassing/previous tenants damaging location in the 4400 block of SR 109 in Pacific Beach at 1:53 p.m.

• Warrant arrest in the 100 block of SR 115 at 2:16 p.m.

• Assist in pursuit of reckless vehicle on SR 109 at milepost 15 in Ocean City at 3:30 p.m.

Oct. 25

• Malicious mischief/tires slashed in the 1900 block of Kirkpatrick Rd. in Humptulips at 8:47 a.m.

• Harassment/suspect tried to run over reporting person and cats at 5:21 p.m. on Viewcrest Dr. in Copalis Beach.
