The Ocean Shores Convention Center was a maze of amazing colors this past weekend for the 23rd annual Whale of a Quilt Shows sponsored by the local SeaPal Quilt Guild.
The show proved to be a popular place to escape the drizzle on Saturday, and crowds were larger than expected on Friday too, organizers said.
In an email, the SeaPal Quilt Guild of Ocean Shores thanked the North Beach area for their support:
“We feel that the Quilt Show and the Quilt Walk that included many local business, banks, and hotels was a success.
“The show also had many visitors from areas beyond the North Beach during the three-day exhibition. What was presented were not only over 200 quilts and items new to the show, but also new quilts that were made for the foster children program and long term care patients. The public’s overwhelming support has made this possible.
“We would also like to express our appreciation to the Convention Center staff for their assistance in setting up and helping during the show,” said Carmen Lizakowski of SeaPal Quilters.
