The annual Grays Harbor Shorebird and Nature Festival offers several bird watching field trips to North Coast areas. All were sold out this year, including trips Friday and Saturday to Ocean Shores. A busload of birders enjoyed the environs at Bill’s Spit on the bay side of the Ocean Shores peninsula. Trip leader Mary Russell said, “Birding is like nature’s Pokemon Go. Every time there are treasures and you never know what you’re going to find.”
