Santa made another early appearance at Oyhut Bay last Saturday as he continues his rounds around the North Beach area at least through Dec. 16 before he heads off for his annual worldwide Christmas morning mission.
At Oyhut Bay, the festivities included an appearance by the decked out fire engine from the Ocean Shores Fire Department, along with Santa in the Village Square for a tree lighting, music, and hot cocoa.
Santa will appear several more times on the North Beach in December, with the Kiwanis Kids Christmas Party Dec. 15 at the Ocean Shores Convention Center. Also Dec. 15 at 6 p.m., the jolly fellow will grace the Seabrook Surfing Santa Parade, followed by breakfast with Santa on Dec. 16.
The Ocean Shores Library is hosting a trio of Christmas movies over the next three Fridays (see movies and schedule on Page 2 Library listings).
Kiwanis Christmas party
The annual Kiwanis Kids Christmas party will be held Dec. 15 at the Ocean Shores Convention Center, from 1-4 p.m. with gifts for every North Beach kid. A teen party will be held at the Convention Center as well in the evening, from 6-8 p.m.
Surfing Santa
The Surfing Santa Parade starts at 6 p.m. in Meriweather Square, ending at Town Hall in Seabrook. From 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Seabrook hosts a Holiday Bazar with local artists and crafters in the Town Hall. On Saturday, Breakfast with Santa is from 9-11 a.m. in the Seabrook Town Hall.
Christmas Comedy
Stage West Community Theatre continues its holiday comedy, “A Doublewide, Texas Christmas” at the Ocean Shores Lions Club, 832 Ocean Shores Blvd. NW.
The play continues Dec. 7, 8, and 9.
Friday and Saturday performances are at 7 p.m. and doors open at 6:30. Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m. with doors open at 1:30.

North Beach Singers
The North Beach Singers perform their annual Christmas Concerts to benefit the Food Bank, with performances Friday night and Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. at Faith Community Church in Ocean Shores, and on Dec. 15 at 3 p.m. at the Pacific Beach Community Church. Admission is a donation to the Food Bank.

Holiday Book Giveaway Party
Saturday Dec. 15, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. All local North Beach children ages baby-sixth grade are invited to come to the Ocean Shores Library and make fun holiday crafts, write letters to Santa, and get their free wrapped book from the Elves. Holiday Book Giveaway Books will also be available for children on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.; Friday, Saturday 11-5.

Dec. 28: Miracle on 34th Street (1994) Starring Richard Attenborough, Elizabeth Perkins and Juliette Lewis. A lawyer and little girl must prove a man claiming to be Santa is the real thing.
