Friday June 8, 3-4 p.m. The book being discussed will be a fiction selection, “Sea Runners,” by Ivan Doig. The Ocean Shores Friends of the Library purchased 7 copies available to check out for 2 weeks.
Friends of the Library Book Sale
Friday June 14, 2-5 p.m., Saturday June 15, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. (FOL Members Pre-Sale June 14 1-2 p.m.) Books of all genres will be available for purchase, most at 2/$1. Proceeds support library programs for all ages. There is an ongoing, honor system book sale during all library open hours in the library meeting room.
The Way We Were: Ocean Shores
Tuesday June 18 2-4 p.m., presentation at 3 p.m. A collection of historic images showcasing the history of Ocean Shores—listen and view this exciting collection. Library and Coastal Interpretive Center with the Washington State Library, Institute of Museum and Library Sciences grant.

Thursday June 20, 2-3 p.m. WSU Master Gardeners present decorating your very own flower pot and planting it with beautiful flowers to grow at home. They will also be releasing lady bugs that will pollinate the flowers around the library.
Teen Book Club
Thursday June 20, 5-6 p.m. “I’ll Give You the Sun” by Jandy Nelson. Open to 7-12 grade students who want to meet other book lovers. We will meet once a month on the 4th Thursday at 5 p.m. to talk about young adult fiction, unless an alternative date is scheduled. The Ocean Shores Friends of the Library sponsor this club and have purchased 10 copies of each title for teens to check out.
Book A Techie
Need Computer Help? Need to read a downloadable book? 30-minute face-to-face session. One week advance registration and a current up-to-date Ocean Shores Library card required. Appointments will be confirmed and are subject to the Techie’s availability and knowledge. Techie cannot help with hardware problems. Come in to the Library to sign-up.
Art in the Library
Mixed Media by Elly Smith, International Needle Artist. View embroideries that traveled in exhibitions to Europe, Japan, and the United States. In Japan one work was selected for an entry ticket and poster from among 68 participants. Smith wrote magazine articles, her stitcheries were featured there and she taught many workshops.
