The Museum of the North Beach in Moclips will host its annual Avalon Glassworks Float Sale on Sunday, March 25.
The annual event offers art glass collectors and fans of the little museum the chance to buy a different glass float each year, with proceeds benefiting the facility.
Every spring since 2005, Jon and Shannon Felix have been carting hundreds of creations from their West Seattle studio, Avalon Glassworks, to the North Coast for this event. Each year, they also design a new, limited-edition blown-glass float.
The 2018 edition is called “Lichen,” in semi transparent slate blue with spots of beige and brown.
The float sells for $30 with half of the proceeds going to the museum.
The couple also brings a wide variety of other glass art from Avalon, including an assortment of sea life pieces and various items with a Northwestern theme.
The sale will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the museum, located at 4658 State Route 109, across from the Ocean Crest Resort. More information is available at www.avalonglassworks.com.
