NCN911: DUI driver in SR 109 wreck, local police reports

A one-car injury rollover crash on State Route 109 early Jan. 27 is believed to be the result of driving under the influence, according to a statement from the Washington State Patrol.

At about 5:20 a.m. Saturday, a white 2006 Dodge Ram pickup, driven by a 21-year-old Taholah woman, was traveling northbound 15 miles north of Ocean Shores. According to the report, the driver failed to negotiate a curve and the truck left the roadway to the right, rolling down an embankment before coming to a rest on its top.

The woman suffered undisclosed injuries and was taken to Grays Harbor Community Hospital. According to the State Patrol, she faces charges of driving under the influence and hit-and-run. The truck was totaled.
