As much as three inches of snow covered Ocean Shores Monday morning as the overnight snowstorm had schools running late or closing and most of travel at a standstill throughout Western Washington. Both North Beach and Taholah school districts closed on Monday.
The National Weather Service said snow-covered and/or slick roads will cause rough travel in all areas, likely through Tuesday morning. Temperatures will remain cold, and little melting is likely today, the Weather Service in Seattle warned.
Overnight lows will be below freezing in most locations, and cold air remains in place with temperatures on the coast expected to drop into the low 30s and 20s.
The low for Copalis Beach is forecast to be about 25 degrees Monday night, with little chance for more snow.
