Area voters will be able to hear all of the candidates running for the 24th Legislative District races at one of two legislative forums this month sponsored by The Daily World, KXRO, Greater Grays Harbor Inc., and Jodesha Broadcasting.
The 24th Legislative District Forum will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 27 in the Little Theater at Hoquiam High School.
Candidates in the 24th Legislative District include Kevin Van de Wege (Democrat) and Danille Turissini (Republican) for State Senate, Michael Chapman (D )and George Vrable (R) for Representative Position 1 and Steve Tharinger (D) and John Alger (R) for Representative Position 2.
“Greater Grays Harbor is excited to be hosting this candidate forum together with our media partners and sponsors, Alpha Media Grays Harbor, Jodesha Broadcasting, and the Aberdeen Daily World newspaper. We are excited to offer this event to residents of Grays Harbor to learn more about the candidates,” said Dru Garson, Greater Grays Harbor CEO.
The event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6 p.m. The forum will last from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. For those unable to attend, KXRO will be live streaming the event.
