Spring Cleanup
The city of Ocean Shores will hold its annual Spring Cleanup from April 24 through April 26 at the Public Works Shop from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with entrance off of Canal Drive. The Annual Spring Cleanup is intended for individual property owners, not for commercial dumping. Dumping is limited to one load per household, and proof of residency (water bill, driver’s license, etc.) will be required before dumping. The city will pick up from citizens who have physical impairments if they call with their request and location prior to noon, Thursday, April 26. No yard waste or brush cuttings, construction debris, household garbage, hazardous waste, paint, waste oil or tires will be accepted. Refrigerators/freezers must be Freon free and without the compressor. Separate cardboard from other items to be dumped.
Roadside Trash Cleanup
The annual roadside trash cleanup in Ocean Shores will take place May 5-6, with headquarters at North Bay Park (at E. Chance a la Mer Ave. and Albatross St.) and sponsored by Ocean Shores Block Watch, McDonald’s and North Beach Chamber of Commerce. Pick up trash along the roads of Ocean Shores; bags and sign-up for pre-designated areas. Latex gloves are available, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves. Hours between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day. Volunteers needed for area leads and pick-ups needed to bring the trash to North Bay Park. Contact Molly High at (360) 500-7893 or molly.high@yahoo.com. Hydrant flushing continues
The Ocean Shores Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants in the northwestern area of the city during the months of April and May. Work will be conducted from Pacific Boulevard NW to W. Chance A La Mer Street on April 24-25, and from W. Chance A La Mer to Damon Road on May 8-9. The city recommends you do not use hot water during the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the days shown. • Answers for All (AFA) meets every Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Ocean Shores Elks Lodge, 199 Ocean Lake Way SE. Join for coffee and conversation about Ocean Shores, the North Beach and the county.
• Indivisible Ocean Shores meets at various meeting places and times: indivisibleoceanshores.website.
• Ocean Shores Councilwoman Holly Plackett holds a weekly no-host coffee hour on Tuesdays at 4 p.m. at the Home Port Restaurant, located at 857 Pt. Brown Ave.

• Ocean Shores Friends of the Library (FOL) meets the second Monday each month in the library meeting room at 573 Point Brown Ave NW at 2 p.m. All interested persons are encouraged to attend.
• Toastmasters Club No. 3942026, North Beach Speech Masters, meets every Thursday from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 199 Ocean Lake Way SE. Guests welcome.

• The North Beach Senior Center and Thrift Store is located at 885 Ocean Shores Blvd. Lunch is served Monday through Saturday 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.; breakfast on Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

• North Beach Senior Resource Center and the Olympic Area Agency on Aging have a Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisor every Thursday, noon to 2 p.m. at Ocean Shores United Methodist Church, 557 Point Brown Ave. NW.
• Women Helping Women – Women sharing resources, information, support and friendship – meets at noon on the second Friday of each month at the Shilo Inn on the fourth floor. No-host lunch and speaker. Call 360-289-3880.
• Ocean Shores’ Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) meets Wednesdays at 4:45 p.m. at the Ocean Shores Library.
