Saturdays Sept. 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, 10-10:40 a.m. Books, rhymes, interactive stories, songs and fun. Ages 5 and under. Presented by Katie.

Friends of the Library

Book Sale

Saturday Sept. 3, 9 a,m,-3 p.m. Books Galore: paperbacks, hardbacks, fiction, cookbooks, children’s books, DVD’s. Most 2/$1. Proceeds support library programs for all ages. There is an ongoing, honor system book sale during all library open hours in the library meeting room.

Video Game Club

Tuesday Sept. 6 and Sept. 20, 2:45-4:45 p.m. Come hang out after school and play video games. Ages 13 and up welcome.

Brick Fun!

Thursday Sept. 8, 3:30-4 p.m. A program intended to encourage kid’s imaginations. Build houses, cars, trees and anything you can dream of with colorful bricks.

Teen Zone

Saturday Sept. 10 (Note date change) 11 a.m.-3 p.m. The meeting room is a teen-only zone, open to all 13-18 year olds. There will be snacks and drinks provided courtesy of the Friends of the Library and the monthly contributions from Baha’is of Ocean Shores. Every first Saturday from September-May. The Library provides a safe, fun place for local teens to hang out, watch movies, play games, and use their library. This event is organized by the Teen Advisory Board.

Teen Advisory Board

Saturday Sept. 10 (Note date change), 3-4 p.m. The Teen Advisory Board is made up of local 7-12 grade students who want to help out at their library. They meet once a month and assist the library staff in planning teen programs and choosing new teen materials. Contact Michelle.

Bead Weaving Basics

Tuesdays Sept. 13, 20, 27, 10-11:30 a.m. Learn the fundamentals of off-loom bead weaving and make a cuff-style bracelet in the process. In this class you will learn about the beads and the tools needed to make beautiful seed-bead jewelry using a needle and thread. No previous experience necessary. A small fee of $5 will be charged to cover some costs. Class size is limited.

Miniature Madness Exhibition

Thursday Sept. 15, 1-2:30 p.m. The Miniature Madness Club welcomes everyone to explore the world of miniatures in 1 inch, ½ inch and ¼ inch scales.
