Back-to-back blue sky days greeted participants and onlookers Saturday and Sunday for the annual Paddle the Shores watercraft races and competition in Ocean Shores and at the Kelpers Festival and Shake Rat Rendezvous in Moclips/Pacific Beach.
The highlights included the cardboard boat competition in the canal off of Oyhut Bay, and the annual Kelpers Festival Parade of colorful North Beach characters, including the Ocean Shores Pirates and their ship the Black Rose.
