Lunch program

thanks local merchants

The Green Lantern Lunch Program would like to thank local merchants for their recent donations of food to our program. The Market on Front Street in Seabrook, the Copalis Beach Grocery, and the Ocean Shores IGA have really been a help to us. Because of their donations our kids have had apples, oranges, and tuna in their food sacks. We would like to commend these merchants for their sense of community unity in making this feeding program a success. We would like to also thank the various merchants taking part in the peanut butter drive. The jars are starting to come in and we are so excited about this. We will be sending out a list of those taking part in this event soon. This is really big in our program as kids and peanut butter go together naturally. We welcome donations of money, food and volunteer hours. Please contact us with any questions at (360) 289-2971.

I also would like to thank the District No. 7 Fire Department of Copalis Beach for the great Easter Egg hunt they put on for the kids in the area. It took place Sunday, April 16th under sunny skies and lots of happy folks were there. There were plenty of eggs to be found and lots of prizes to be had. All in all, it was another example of community working together for the good of all concerned. Thanks again for all the hard work you do for your community.

Town Hall speaker

cancellation

Though it was announced in the North Coast News that Police Chief Neccie Logan would be the featured speaker at the next Citizen Sponsored Town Hall on public safety, she has respectfully declined with the comment that she will not be available for public speaking until March of 2018. Ocean Shores Block Watch apologizes to everyone who was looking forward to this event.
